Argh yes! And Jarhead. So many good movies skipped over and some that weren’t even in the timeline. Jake really hasn’t made many bad choices in his career.
Jake is one of the most underrated actors in his field. He's up there with DiCaprio among the best of his generation. I'm still not over how he was snubbed at the Oscars for Nightcrawler.
@cain abel I agree, I watched the infinite film trailer, and behold I saw another person using the "underrated actor" this time with Dylan O'Brien. Check out the second comment on the list for the trailer it has so many likes it is the second on the list. krclip.com/video/zto5B7cYM6Y/비디오.html
Loved absolutely everything he had to say about Brokeback Mountain. Especially what he said about Heath cuz I remember watching several press interviews for the movie and some of the questions and reactions that were given to them were so ridiculous and Heath never wavered in his seriousness and admiration about his role and about the film. He shut down ANY homophobia that was sent his way and never indulged in ANY jokes about the story. Love Jake for bringing that up and man... I miss Heath. Such a kind soul who is dearly missed.
@Layla wiser,Idk.Jake gets along with everyone tho.haha. But it looks like he is trying hard to blend with others.I feel like as Jake was living in hollywood bubble he didn't fully understand the real world or struggle. That's why he was so closer to heath & till to this date I feel he misses that.
@NS 120 Yeah!! he gets along pretty well with tom holland but obviously not in the same way he was with heath, jake admired heath and looked up to him, he seemed a lot wiser than jake
@OmerSchechter I'm sure this may be the case in some instances, but there are many stories of Oscars being career killers, or at the very least hindering successful actors, despite wining an Oscar.
@Ben Dovermen lmao who hurt you? Why so pitty? Your truth maybe, but not mine. I'm not blind or whatever, Will Smith is a brilliant actor, his bad behaviour at the Oscar doesn't change that. That's facts. Take back your pitty comment and your blankie. Breathe a little and calm down
@Kaesthetyc awe, did the truth hurt your wittle feelings? It's a shame that society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people. Do you need a special blankie, or perhaps a coloring book while you take a time out for your emotional needs and spiritual well being?
@Samindu Madusanka her songs are highly forgettable. She also lacks the personality of being an icon. She is the talented version of kardashians.Seeks drama & thrives on it.But she is a good businesswoman,I can give you that. She understands the market.that's why her songs are still stuck on high school level mentality.
He talks so passionately about acting. You can see is not about ego for him, it's about telling real, deeply human stories. The part about "Brokeback Mountain" really shows that.
I liked his discussion about Nightcrawler and Spiderman. About how he was taking acting too seriously and lost the fun. He says "it's just acting." I think that's important. It reminds me of Henry Cavill saying that it's just a job when he was asked about actors who take it far too seriously.
I grew up with lots of homophobia and never saw it until about 2 years ago. I was already at a point where therapy had erased what I was raised with, but that movie truly changed me. Everything about it. The story, the acting, the pace, etc. Such a brilliant film and an important story to tell. I have since recommended it to my other friends and family who still hold homophobic feelings.
When someone tells you he's watched your film eleven times within ten days, you've made more than just a film. You've created something that occupies a special place in his heart.
@SuBhaYU BiSwaS nah! Jake should've won.His performance was out of world. When an actor is Unrecognizable just bcz of acting without using make up it's something else.I can agree the movie wasn't that great but his performance was.
@yosoyconsuela Eddie deserved to win that Oscar. Though i would have voted for Michael Keaton in Birdman. But yes Jake Gyllenhaal should have been nominated and Bradley shouldn't have been.
God bless Jake for making "Brokeback Mountain." I still can't even see a poster for it without freezing, followed by crying. I probably saw it 30 times. I measure my time by "Before Brokeback" and "After Brokeback" because that is the impact on all of our lives.
I have listened to Jake talking about Brokeback Mountain probably 300,668 times and I still get emotional every time. His experience with that film is so deeply moving.
Every time I hear him talk about Brokeback Mountain, there are tears in my eyes. It's one of the greatest travesties in Oscar history that the movie did not win Best Picture and Ledger did not win Best Actor. Rest in Peace, Heath.
_Brokeback Mountain_ did win Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Score. But not getting a Best Editing nomination meant diminished hopes for a Best Picture win.
I absolutely love this guy... his range, the directors and actors he`s worked with yet his so humble... Its probably one of the few actors I can say ive seen almost all of his movies
There is a certain calmness in his way of speaking, especially when he talks about his art, you can feel how much he loves and respects what he does and how proud he is of each and every project, that's the quality that makes someone a star , a legend ❤️❤️❤️
I'm Jake's age and remember how when Donnie Darko came out it struck me in a way I couldn't explain. It really put Jake on the map and still holds its own 25 years later.
Does anyone else feel that Jake is keeping the torch burning for what movie making is SUPPOSED to be about? Listening to him speak about Brokeback Mountain in particular, his dedication to his craft, his understanding of the meaning that storytelling has for us as human beings. We need more like him in the arts.
I think Jake is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. His part in Nocturnal Animals, Prisoners, and Enemy are all amazing. The dude has so many great roles and very few "bad" movies.
@NS 120 he was absolutely terrible in ambulance, but that was due to an awful script and him just shouting his way through it. And if you like those films then great, I thought they were awful. His films over the past decade have pretty much all been amazing, which was why I was surprised he did ambulance
@oisquidyx He was not bad in those movies. In fact he was the good part.that's why he is great. Besides,POP was bad due to Cultural issue,Love & other drugs, bubble boy are good films.wth are you talking abt!
The fact that you can go through this guy's career and not even have time to mention Prisoners, Nocturnal Animals and Enemy is testament to how good his career has been. And he's still only young too. Cant wait to see what else he does. Proper good lad is our Jake.
He definitely should've discussed Bubble Boy in the beginning. I'd love to hear his thoughts about making that movie. I thought it was hilarious when I was younger 😀
I'm crying listening to him talk about filming Brokeback Mountain. It truly is one of the best love stories of all time. Being in the closet in high school, I felt so alone, and when that movie came out, it inspired me to live in my truth. It's a true masterpiece!
He really is the most versatile actor of his generation. He does film, stage, tv, he can sing, he can do comedy as well as he does drama. He does big film, small films. He’s a lot better than the guys the media and critics tend to go on about.
You can tell Jake has a real passion for not only acting but the impact of filmmaking as a whole. He talks a lot about the audience's reactions and the everlasting impact of the films and the themes/messages they've carried. Really love hearing him talk about this craft.
His parents were directors and screenwriters - there's nothing he could do about their being in the industry. Unlike a lot of others who pretend they didn't have connections and that they did it all their own, he is honest about it.
His performance in Nightcrawler completely blew my mind. Lucky for me, i didn't see any trailers or teasers and i knew nothing about the film, because it came out in a time i was busy with a lot of stuff, and one night i was free, and checked my local cinema for a movie, and this was playing in an hour, so i thought, heck why not. Holy crap that was one of the best "heck why not's" of my life. Nightcrawler was way better than i thought it would be, it totally captivated me, i was held hostage in the cinema. This doesn't happen often to me, that a movie can totally trap me like that, and it's mainly because of Jake's performance. I wish i could see that movie over and over and over, like that first time.
What a wonderful human being, he is not only an extraordinary actor but also a profound person. We often forget that actors are constantly dealing with emotions and Jake really seems to have made the most of his craft. Also, his love for the art of filmmaking is inspiring
One summer I watched Donnie Darko every night before bed. I can quote the whole movie. I can hear the songs in my head. This man in that performance propelled him to become one of my all time favorite Hollywood actors.
Man, I really wish he would have discussed his role in "Prisoners". His performance in that movie matched and even surpassed Hugh Jackman's performance in the same. He really should've gotten an Oscar nomination for that performance!
I've watched many of these and no other actor has taken the time and effort to communicate their experiences so thoughtfully...I didnt know there was another kind of actor.
I believe that Jake is one of the best actors working today. You can tell by the way he describes and analyzes these films, that he has a true love for the craft of filmmaking and he puts real thought into the roles he’s played/will play. P.S- Also- watching Heath Ledger on screen is always emotional for me. Already he had delivered so many amazing performances and it makes me feel devastated that we will never get to see how his career unfolded.
Awwww 🥰 you have gotttt a lovely ☺️ and beautiful expression. You can Kindly reach out to me forwarding all your thoughts, prayers and proposals directly to me on the add ress on my profile des cription and also as a means of joining my fan base zone 🎥
He is literally a chameleon . He can play anything , he’s so talented . His good looks are just a bonus , he’s really underrated as an actor ! I love Jake & his movies ! Brokeback Mountain is hands down one of my most favourite movies because of him & Heath ! May he rest in eternal peace ❤️
What Jake did on Nightcrawler was worthy of a hundred Oscars. The movie is utterly brilliant and his performance in it is sensational. I had to say it!
I saw Brokeback Mountain several times in the theatres aswell and immediately bought the DVD the day it came out. This movie moved me in ways words cannot describe.
Love that he spoke so fondly about Donnie Darko and also liking open endings (or endings open to interpretation). Love endings like that. What a lovely chap.
How do you skip over October Sky??? Do you not realize the GRIP that movie has on science teachers? At least in the U.S.? Truly one of his most legendary films. For GENERATIONS kids will grow up watching that movie when they’ve got substitutes 😂
Heath really did a great job in Brokeback Mountain. Their acting, cinematography and the soundtracks are just on its peak til now. What a great movie, indeed.
Brokeback Mountain is and always has been such an intense emotional movie with a sad but interesting story line - I've seen it probably 5 or 6 times throughout my life.
Is anyone more dedicated to their characters but also as humble as Jake? He is so human and thoughtful, and just seems to appreciate the gift that is the life he’s been given. I don’t know anyone else that could casually say the Crystals were a family friend and that’s how he got involved with City Slickers, then to still grow up and be humble and grateful daily...that’s special. That’s why he’s special.
Jake's choice of films is impeccable. He is my favourite actor because of that, considering him one of many talented and great actors by default, obviously. They are weird, dark, twisted. That creates deep curiosity and often scary, yet magical feel to the movies. And that is why cinema is great, not pop-corn flicks, not for me. Nocturnal Animals should have been mentioned.
Endlessly grateful for the reverence Jake and Health always have spoken about Brokeback Mountain. Especially since it was made during a time where homosexual relationships were seen as a joke. Never once did they let people linger on that and only spoke about the film for what it was: a heartbreaking tale of love.
When I saw Nightcrawler in the theater there were literally moments where I found myself gasping for air because I was holding my breath and on the edge of my seat. That was such an intense story and a great character he portrayed.
Love to listen to his insight and observations of his roles and how they relate to his life in general. I would love for a video like this one day of a deep dive on all the roles shown on the timeline.
Man, I love Donnie Darko. It came out when I was 20. Still resonates every time I watch it. It doesn't treat the audience like they are idiots. You have to figure out what's happening
One of the best and underrated actors in Hollywood. His performances in Nightcrawler, Donnie Darko, Southpaw and Zodiac were simply incredible, can't believe he still hasn't won an Oscar
Love the insight to his movies especially Broke Back. He seems like such a down to earth dude who is truly grateful for each experience. Though to be fair that's the vibe I have always had of him, it's refreshing to see it.
He has so many bangers, still haven't seen some of them. Definitely going to go back and watch a few and maybe rewatch some also. He's definitely up there at the top. Never thought I would picture the person playing bubble boy being one of the best actors to ever do it.
Prisoners, enemy, end of watch, and source code should not have been skipped. The first two at least, with him talking about his time with denis villeneuve and the extraordinary difference in the two films that were released so close together. And then end of watch which still stands as the only of its kind to this day. It was the type of film I thought would be copied on several different levels and just never would, probably because of how difficult it would be to make. And how much more difficult it would be to top. Either way, I love this video, and I love this man as an actor with a true passion. It’s Christian bale and jake gyllenhaal for me…will stay that way forever.
He's one of my favorite actors, but it's pretty comical to see him dance around the fact he got his first actings gigs because of nepotism through his parents and their friends lol
I share the same sentiment with a lot of the other commenters here who say Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the greatest actors of his generation. Some of my favorite films of his are in Nightcrawler, Source Code, Brokeback Mountain, Jarhead, Zodiac, and Southpaw (criminally underrated). He just always manages to turn in top-tier performances.
I watched source code few days ago..Man! I adore that film.It is the first movie that introduced me to the parallel universes.I was so fasinated by it.
You could really see Jake's growth as an actor throughout the years But dude, how can they skip "enemy"??? such a fantastic film, and his acting there is even more pronounced cause he has to act as two different characters
I appreciate the fact that he mentions his family’s connections as something that helped him in the beginning. He’s incredibly talented, and only seems to be getting better and better. He’s also got great comedic timing (Music Man)!
Donnie Darko is such a cult classic, I love those movies where you have to interpret things for yourself, when it’s not exactly clear. Also Brokeback Mountain should’ve won Best Picture
i still remember the first time i watched brokeback mountain and i still feel the same way every time i watch it again. so moving, so much talent, beautifully written and produced. absolutely miss heath ledger
I can say for one that Brokeback mountain changed my life, just because of it being out in the world at that moment in time. It activated deep conversations that were needed for me and many others to come out of the closet and enjoy our lives and I’ll forever be grateful.
All of his emotion is expressed through his eyes and that crooked smile. He’s not afraid to stare at the camera and hold your gaze. Stunning and mesmerizing.
Brokeback Mountain. The saddest and most touching film that I was only able to watch once because I was paralyzed and cried for 3 weeks afterwards. Too few Oscars. Great and magical💔👥✨
I HATE that they skipped over Prisoners. What a film. What a performance.
They also skipped over it in the one he did with GQ. It infuriates me.
He also starred in a movie called "Brothers" with Tobey Maguire
@Julyan Stephens I haven't seen "Jarhead". Is Jamie Foxx his co-star in it?
I loved "Prisoners" and "Nocturnal Animals". REALLY GOOD films!!
@NS 120 sorry that's just my personal opinion
@Layla come on,he has been on a great track since his career started in 1999.I am glad he is doing light hearted roles.
I admire jake but tbh he hasn't been in a good movie since nocturnal animals
@cain abel
I agree, I watched the infinite film trailer, and behold I saw another person using the "underrated actor" this time with Dylan O'Brien. Check out the second comment on the list for the trailer it has so many likes it is the second on the list.

@NS 120 Yeah!! he gets along pretty well with tom holland but obviously not in the same way he was with heath, jake admired heath and looked up to him, he seemed a lot wiser than jake
But was Brokeback Mountain too Artsy Fartsy??? It could have been sexier.
Every single time Jake talks about Brokeback Mountain makes me tear up, his eyes really show how much he misses Heath and that destroys me
Yeah evertime, everytime it's still hurts till now. Miss Heath also.
It's ridiculous that he hasn't won an Oscar.
@OmerSchechter I'm sure this may be the case in some instances, but there are many stories of Oscars being career killers, or at the very least hindering successful actors, despite wining an Oscar.
It's ridiculous how he was only nominated once for brokeback mountain 16 years ago
@Kaesthetyc still cryin' huh?
He is one of the few actors in Hollywood that doesn’t disappoint.
Did he wash before this video?
@Samindu Madusanka her songs are highly forgettable. She also lacks the personality of being an icon. She is the talented version of kardashians.Seeks drama & thrives on it.But she is a good businesswoman,I can give you that. She understands the market.that's why her songs are still stuck on high school level mentality.
It’s not a jake gylenhaal movie if his character doesn’t have a freak out scene or two. And that’s why I enjoy his movies.
He probably has an amazing agent
i think my favorite is in prisoners when he knocks all the stuff off the desk lol. what a guy
Literally
Wish they would have talked about Prisoners and Nocturnal Animals. Those are in my top 5 of Jake’s. Love him
@Melissa Bucci Hello😇
Thanks for your lovely comments and support 🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰,am so happy to have a wonderful fan like you 🥰
Nocturnal animals is great, wish it was talked about more
Prisoners is one of the best films I’ve ever seen the ending was perfectly executed
Prisoners is in my all time top 5. What a masterpiece of a film.
@Raul Pimienta nnnnl
Zodiac is a very well made film too, it’s a very wholesome type of movie
It's 100 percent about ego
I was crying at the whole Brokeback Mountain section. This is one of the greatest movies ever made. It should have been buried in awards.
Yes, i've watched it yesterday for the first time and i cannot forget this incredible movie ♥
So true
@Andrew H true! I feel like the actors should have gotten more though but in the end it's incredible with or without awards 😊
@ASMRyouVEGANyet? ♥️♥️♥️
The sadness and seriousness in his eyes when speaking about Heath and Brokeback Mountain ❤️
Yeah..I am glad He & Michelle williams have maintained their friendship.
I loved hearing Jake talk about Brokeback Mountain in an almost reverent way. It's a masterpiece, and I love the respect and care that went into it.
@ASMRyouVEGANyet? *reverential
Reverent.
Reverend is a man on the pulpit.
When someone tells you he's watched your film eleven times within ten days, you've made more than just a film. You've created something that occupies a special place in his heart.
It was possibly a lifeline.
Still insane he never won an Oscar for Nightcrawler
@SuBhaYU BiSwaS nah! Jake should've won.His performance was out of world. When an actor is Unrecognizable just bcz of acting without using make up it's something else.I can agree the movie wasn't that great but his performance was.
@yosoyconsuela Eddie deserved to win that Oscar. Though i would have voted for Michael Keaton in Birdman. But yes Jake Gyllenhaal should have been nominated and Bradley shouldn't have been.
@Arghya Mishra Eddie Redmayne didn't deserve to win and Bradley Cooper didn't deserve to be nominated.
Still angry over that. Deserved a nom for sure
Jake in real life: A smooth glass of whiskey
Jake in his movies: Mentos in a Coke bottle
I was just saying this yesterday! I love it!
😍🤣👍
I like that...hope it's yours!
God bless Jake for making "Brokeback Mountain." I still can't even see a poster for it without freezing, followed by crying. I probably saw it 30 times. I measure my time by "Before Brokeback" and "After Brokeback" because that is the impact on all of our lives.
I still tear up every time I watch this movie.the love between the characters hit differently.it almost hurts..what a beautiful way to show love..❤
I have listened to Jake talking about Brokeback Mountain probably 300,668 times and I still get emotional every time. His experience with that film is so deeply moving.
Yes it’s that good
such an important movie
Is it that good? Ive never watched it entirely
This guy has one of the best filmographies in Hollywood. Tonne of respect. That was a blast to hear him speak
I absolutely love this guy... his range, the directors and actors he`s worked with yet his so humble... Its probably one of the few actors I can say ive seen almost all of his movies

Always picks some great roles, tons of respect for this guy and his talent
To me he is one of the very few people that seem to be right exactly where they are at (career wise)
When he speaks about Brokeback Mountain, I’m just left speechless!
I'm Jake's age and remember how when Donnie Darko came out it struck me in a way I couldn't explain. It really put Jake on the map and still holds its own 25 years later.
@ASMRyouVEGANyet? I love seeing you everywhere.
Same here. That movie is like Jacob's Ladder for me.
always loved jake. he speaks gently, is always so passionate and his acting is insanely versatile. what a great guy.
Give him a fuckin' Oscar already...
@starkingbiker should’ve gotten it for nighcrawler
@Karbonated Hydration Company 🤣🤣🤣🤣
people don’t just get an oscar because they’re overdue. they get it for a specific performance of a specific year.
After he gives Taylor back her scarf!
Yes! Long overdue!
I love how much jake admires heath, I wish he was still with us today.
Idk if he chooses his scripts or some other due process, his films almost never disappoint
The Guilty is actually really good. It’s just him the whole movie working as a emergency dispatcher but he plays the role so good
@NS 120 he was absolutely terrible in ambulance, but that was due to an awful script and him just shouting his way through it. And if you like those films then great, I thought they were awful. Agreed. I wish these types of interviews were longer. It sucks when they skip over movies.
@poppy jane lol
@B can you make me 154 to 155 🌃🌆🌌
i watched that movie drunk and it made me cry
Bubble boy is still a good movie I watched it last year and enjoyed it
I'm crying listening to him talk about filming Brokeback Mountain. It truly is one of the best love stories of all time. Being in the closet in high school, I felt so alone, and when that movie came out, it inspired me to live in my truth. It's a true masterpiece!

Happy that he admitted to being connected to people that were in the industry at a young age
He talked about it in his GQ magazine cover story as well.
@MT MF yes!! He always admits he is priviledged.. That is one of the reasons he takes this type of challenging roles.
His parents were directors and screenwriters - there's nothing he could do about their being in the industry. Unlike a lot of others who pretend they didn't have connections and that they did it all their own, he is honest about it.

Same when I was younger …. that film just resonated with my youthful self 🛩
Nightcrawler is such an underrated film. Very unique, perfect acting, good casting, amazing plot, great pacing, and a perfect final chase
Every time I watch brokeback mountain, I feel like I just watched a poem, a tragic love story of a poem
This 👏
Man, I really wish he would have discussed his role in "Prisoners". His performance in that movie matched and even surpassed Hugh Jackman's performance in the same. He really should've gotten an Oscar nomination for that performance!
Jake is an actor's actor. He can do the light roles, but also do the roles that some actors wouldn't do. A true professional.
I'm so impressed how kind and marvelous person Jake is
*Arguably the most underrated actor of all time*
I've watched many of these and no other actor has taken the time and effort to communicate their experiences so thoughtfully...I didnt know there was another kind of actor.

Not them ignoring Prisoners when it's one of his best 💀
I know right I was like "talk about our lord and saviour Denis Villeneuve plssss."
He did not did he?
I saw Brokeback Mountain several times in the theatres aswell and immediately bought the DVD the day it came out. This movie moved me in ways words cannot describe.
I wish this video was longer and he was able to talk about every role. Skipped over a few really great roles.
@John Fischer why no one mentions source code? 🤧🤧
@Elena 349 I was hoping he would talk about Prisoners and Jarhead as well.
agreed! imo prisoners is one of his best performance and i really was looking forward for him to talk about it a little
Love that he spoke so fondly about Donnie Darko and also liking open endings (or endings open to interpretation).
@Simon246 that’s so iconic! I KNOW that movie will played forever in that school district!
@NATASHKA yep
Agreed! And this was filmed in my hometown and my science teachers were extras in it.
I re-watch it at least once a year. So inspiring. And makes me cry every time.
Yeah everyone is shocked over prisoners getting skipped including me but I was most surprised over October Sky and Jarhead getting passed by
The Day After Tomorrow, is such an underrated film. It has always been one of my favorites.
I just love how Jake starts the interviews so calm and then gets excited through it haha his energy is genuine
(go on Jakey, give us everything!!!!)
I can't believe he hasn't won an Oscar yet. He's truly one of the greats of his time.
He’s never had one bad performance. Love everything he’s ever given his energy to.
Endlessly grateful for the reverence Jake and Health always have spoken about Brokeback Mountain. Especially since it was made during a time where homosexual relationships were seen as a joke. Never once did they let people linger on that and only spoke about the film for what it was: a heartbreaking tale of love.
Jake Gyllenhaal has one of the best filmographies out there, there's a little bit of everything and so many good movies.
When I saw Nightcrawler in the theater there were literally moments where I found myself gasping for air because I was holding my breath and on the edge of my seat. That was such an intense story and a great character he portrayed.
I’ve just recently “discovered” Jake Gyllenhaal and I looove him. He’s such a good actor and he can really do anything 😍
Donnie Darko is one of my all-time favorites films! Jake is also one of my favorite actors. If his name is attached, I watch it, no trailer needed.
Love to listen to his insight and observations of his roles and how they relate to his life in general. I would love for a video like this one day of a deep dive on all the roles shown on the timeline.
I just need to bring up Southpaw and how incredible he was in that movie. One of my favorites movies of all time. He is phenomenal.
He's really an amazing actor, nightcrawler, prisoners, enemy and nocturnal animals are all one of his best works
He is absolutely phenomenal at what he does. One of the greats
Jake is so underrated, his acting on Prisoners was phenomenal
This guy is on of the most grounded and down to earth actor I’ve ever seen. Love him to bits. 🙏❤️

Jake Gyllenhaal is underrated in my opinion. He is a phenominal talent in Hollywood.
Such a gentle soul. Love him
my all time fave actor, we need a director's cut of this interview because they skipped over so many amazing films!
You could really see Jake's growth as an actor throughout the years
But dude, how can they skip "enemy"??? such a fantastic film, and his acting there is even more pronounced cause he has to act as two different characters
Loved this timeline. Brokeback Mountain is one of my favourite movies. It always makes me cry.
Hello😇
Thanks for your lovely comments and support 🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰,am so happy to have a wonderful fan like you 🥰
I wish he'd spoken about Demolition . Hands down one of my fave films of all time . That movie changed my life❤
One of my all time favorite actors. I love his low profile and gentleman persona. He is a real gift to the industry.
I can say for one that Brokeback mountain changed my life, just because of it being out in the world at that moment in time. It activated deep conversations that were needed for me and many others to come out of the closet and enjoy our lives and I’ll forever be grateful.
Donnie Darko one of my all time favorites. Jake is a legend
An eloquent and thoughtful interview -- kudos and thanks to Jake, for so many subtle, emotional, performances that meant so much to so many.
Hello😇
Thanks for your lovely comments and support 🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰,am so happy to have a wonderful fan like you 🥰
He always seemed like the most genuine guy in Hollywood who I'd like to grab a beer with and fool around.
All of his emotion is expressed through his eyes and that crooked smile. He’s not afraid to stare at the camera and hold your gaze. Stunning and mesmerizing.
One of the most underrated actors with one of the most impressive filmographies, so great to hear him reflect on his past roles
Always picks some great roles, tons of respect for this guy and his talent
I find it staggering to believe he has only ever been nominated for just the one oscar.... how is that possible!?
That's because the Oscars suck really. Nowadays the best actors don't get them.
Brokeback Mountain. The saddest and most touching film that I was only able to watch once because I was paralyzed and cried for 3 weeks afterwards. Too few Oscars. Great and magical💔👥✨
true
So many gems that were touched on here, and so many left to be discussed! Prisoners, end of watch, demolition! Jake is extraordinary
