I just saw the first episode of I Am Cait, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It actually made me teary-eyed when Caitlyn's mother got teary-eyed. Maybe cause you can feel the strong love of a mother for her son Bruce as Bruce. You can tell that she has a really good heart who is ultimately willing to progress with the times. I loved the show because it is such an important show, at an important time in the world. It has the potential to be a life changing show for many. You have to love and appreciate that. On a side note, I have to give props to Kanye West. I honestly have thought he wasn't the greatest through the years. His openness and acceptance of Caitlyn Jenner is very commendable and refreshing. I am in full support of Caitlyn Jenner, and I love how she is getting her message out there. It needs to be seen and heard

FOR FUCK SAKE! I cannot believe how ignorant so many people are! We're living in the year 2015 people. Bruce now wants to be referred to as a 'she' and be called 'Caitlyn'. How hard is it to respect that and move on!!??
She is clearly A LOT happier now that she has found her true identity, and i couldn't be more happy and proud of her. Id imagine that coming out to people about being a transgender is hard enough, but coming out to the ENTIRE world about it is truly remarkable.
Yes i think that we can all admit it is very strange seeing a beautiful woman that used to be a man. But why cant everyone just be happy for her! It saddens me how many judgemental people there are in this world :/

There's something called let live. Bruce/Caitlyn, I get confused, I'm a child of the 70's, I grew up watching this guy on tv. As that, I really don't understand the trans gender thing. But he's a human being. A Christian, and Republican, and that right there changes things for me. We're all human beings, with troubles, strains, and demons. Like for example, I have my alcohol demons. I keep it in check. So why bother critizing him, it's his life, his choice, and who is he hurting in the end. In the end, as a Christian, he'll have to answer to God. In the end, I wish him the best, and God bless him.

I can't lie, I thought it all was pretty weird, and as I've been watching it all unfold, it's been hard for me to wrap my head around, but I've been really curious about this story, watching her still as Bruce in interviews, and after watching this video, I went, "Ah, I get it." You can really see who she always was on the inside coming out, it's in the entire way she carries herself. It seems so natural to her, and THAT is a person being true to who they are. It's really impressive, especially given the courage it takes.

Why are people so angry about someone's personal choice to do something, it's not hurting anyone, it's not offending anyone so why are people so mad?

I don't know why so many of us forget in the first place, but some remember quicker than others that HAPPINESS is what matters in this life. Wanting it for ourselves, other people and every living animal. I just want all the people full of love to stop getting annoyed with the people full of hate, the people that put hate before wishing happiness to Caitlyn just because they don't understand it yet. Overall I think this will have opened more eyes than anything, so it's great in many ways! Those that can only see in black and white can go stand in a corner looking at a wall! Oh, I was so liberal in my lifestyle (this IS a lifestyle vs. cultural issue), up through even the '80s when I still thought of "Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola" as a somewhat humorous, satirical story far from reality and in a future beyond our lifetime. Only change to Ray Davies' ode at that time, were the majority of perspectives that those lyrics were referring to Transvestites. That view can now be changed to include Transsexuals.
I guess, one, reality has finally caught up with me and, two, I find myself becoming the less socially liberal, possibly less tolerant, individual that I once disliked, as I've gotten older. My views have been scaled down to basic, "bottom-line" rationale, such as, "What heterosexual male (with reference to male-to-female physical alterations) would unknowingly want to date someone who is from the same gender physically?" or "What makes these individuals think that a heterosexual male would want to unknowingly date a male with gender-dysphoria influenced physical alterations?"
At one time, Ray Davies words seemed far off in the future, beyond our generations' lifetime, making most us laugh or, at the very least, smile. Now those words are echoing as though they were only yesterday.

Great for her, however I really don't think this should've been made into a public ordeal. Could she not be as happy doing it privately?
It creates an impression that this must be the only right way to deal with the situation - after all she is a huge celebrity, rather than teaching people to feel more comfortable with their skin and become more accepting of themselves. With 12 million views I'm sure a couple ten year olds have stumbled across this and developed that ideology.
I'm not saying thats what her intent may have been and I'm not arguing its morality - whether it was right or wrong, my point simply is, there shouldn't have been so much publicity about this. An announcement sure, but come on, seductive photoshoots printed on magazines, all of youtube covered in interviews, even the channel one news - its bombarding
