Dr Alan Grant was my Luke Skywalker, Dr Sattler my Princess Leia and Ian Malcolm my Han Solo. Seeing them back 30 years later fighting dinosaurs is monumental for me as far as cinematic events go. So happy they made it this far, and more importantly so happy they’ll actually be on screen together.

I won't lie, though. Even with the T-rex and velociraptors taking center stage?

The older I get approaching 30 I realize how irrelevant age really is. People age physically but they are still the same as they were when younger adults. People don't change much in terms of personality after age 25.

    • Erik Serrano
      Erik Serrano 14 일 전 +1

I agree that the core personality traits remain after 25, particularly because that's when the frontal cortex is fully developed, meaning less risky behavior and better judgment compared to adolescence..but I do believe that some people remain "young at heart" by their spontaneity, humor, charisma, and joy while other people do become "old" personality wise..grumpy, more serious, boring..this is my belief based on observations I've made in my life.

Jurassic Park and The Lost World are wonderful lessons in science and hubris as well as being just great movies to watch. It's pretty disappointing to see what has become of the originals with the Jurassic World movies, which are absolutely terrible and the epitome of Malcolm's warning 'You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now

This movie started the best CGI on a movie during the 90s .
It has the vibe of star wars did in the 80s

It's crazy how the first brachiosaurus scene still holds up to this day. It doesn't look CGI to me. Why is that?

I love the original cast of Jurassic, and honestly don't like the new ones. I wish they could bring the kids too, It'll be perfect.

did you know that during the raptor scene where Muldoon tells Ellie to run for the bunker she actually ends up jumping over the same tree twice? its a goof in the editing that editor Michael Kahn somehow missed. unlike digital editing of today, Jurassic park was editied the old fashion way by cutting actual Film. did you also know that during the raptor kitchen scene with Tim and Lex that when the first raptor appears in the door you can spot a hand reaching out and steadying the raptor animatronic? its brief but you can easily spot it if your looking. i love these flaws in the film and they only add to the films charm. even after nearly 30 years the film still looks amazing.

I didn’t know Sam Neill was supposed to be doing an American accent.
Also I forgot Jeff Goldblum’s days of being a hottie.
