@egogo816 Exactly, she took a break for like 6 years. Happily she was able to afford giving that to herself. Sadly I didn’t get to grow up with her but these past few years I started looking up to her a lot and she’s such a great person, I have nothing but good things to say about her. Not saying anyone younger is bad tho, because there are younger people that are also really great, inspiring and admirable like Hilary 🥰
Well she took a very very long break. Worked some indie films but not much else. Got married, had a kid, lived a life and came back years later. I think that definitely helped.
I was always wondering why out of all the teen stars at that time why we didn’t see Hillary everywhere like some of the others. I realize now that was intentional on Hillary’s part for her own mental health. She wanted to avoid burn out and not loose her marbles like some of the others.

And she may not like her last album breathe in breathe out (idk if that’s what she’s talking about when answered the questions) but that’s how I met her and that album is pop gold, so dramatic with smart lyrics and nice stories for the songs, I love it

I love herr oh my god it's like reconnecting with an old friend, before social media I didn't know very much about her at all besides the interviews she had or the movies she starred in. My mom and dad surprised me with tickets to her first tour and I swear it was like a revolutionary shift for me lmao. I'm 27 and I still remember as a 9 yr old the outfit she was wearing, where I saw her, and when she came out on stage. She was such a huge part of my childhood

Wow thats crazy! I was going to type a comment & it literally was exactly as you said it.. so weird how most girls who were fans of Hilary can relate to this. My mom surprised me with tickets I was probably 7-8 years old I remember the place the concert was at & it was for the album of hers which I believe is self titled & I loved her rock era & knew every lyric. Lol I remember sitting on the left side of the stage in the nosebleeds & reaching out to her trying to touch her hand & she reached for me as well it was the best day of my life as a kid lol she was also wearing shiny silver shorts & a yellow tube top in Columbus, Ohio. She still is such a role model in many ways to me & I will forever love her & anything she does I get so excited about lol

I remember growing up watching her and her fellow peers like lohan, hilton, moore, spears, baynes, etc and always underestimated her - she was always least on the spotlight, perhaps, and now that's for a good reason. For someone who grew up in a generation of 2000s wild child stars era, Duff sure is grounded and keeps being authentic. I adores her now (also she is very good on HIMYF).

yeah i know it sounds like a stereotype but she was actually a really "good girl" as many used to put her back then, she was pretty chill, didn't get in trouble or fight, nice to everyone, didn't really party that much like the other ones, she managed to have a relatively low profile about her personal life, she did really well
